Stampspam IV

Today is the day of something short. I received those stamps on a letter from Swedwen last year. Or was it the beginning of this year?

Netherlands / USA - 3rd of may 2010

The card I received from the Netherlands was a tiny bit dissappointing at first, basically because it's Welsh! :P
The postcrosser, who send it to me, was on vacation there before. But nevertheless it's a beautiful card! Unfortunately, it doesn't say, where exactly this cross is standing.

Here's a Dutch stamp we all know :)

The card from the USA is AWESOME! I love those kinds of maps with typical things for the region or state! It's just a fact that that is my only card of this type so far :(

And another familiar stamp :)

Plus I posted a letter to Sweden today. Another one to Finland is still open, but it takes a bit more time to write in Finnish, still. :D

Italy - 30th of april 2010

I received a wonderful multiview card from Italy by the end of april. It's showing views from San Giovanni Teatino. Nice, isn't it?

On the stamps you can see Giuseppe Mazzini and then a woman that might have something to do with the Italian post? Anyone who knows?

Croatia - 10th of april 2010

The card I received from Croatia is showing different things from the region the postcrosser came from. I especially like the traditional clothes, that you seem to see on festivities only nowadays.

And this is the card's stamp!

PostSecret

Found at PostSecret. I love this blog! It makes my weekends.

Sunday card

It's sunday again!
I received a beautiful card by my Finnish penfriend at the beginning of summer. The artist who drew that picture is the Finnish painter Albert Edelfelt (1854-1905). Isn't it lovely?

Have a great sunday!

USA / Turkey / Russia - 4th of april 2010

The first of the three cards came from the USA, showing Crater Lake National Park. It must be such a beautiful place!

(I just realised I cut off half the card when scanning it. Oops. Well, you know what it looks like now anyway. The stamps is quite familiar, though. ;)

The card from Izmir is a picture that is a bit older but that's why it's even more lovely! It's showing tren station there. Unfortunately I can't say at which time. And sorry for the messed up scan. Somehow the scanner didn't want to!

On the stamp you can see Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The third card came from Russia, showing a typical Russian tree - the birch. The postcrosser also wrote a poem of A. Pushkin on the card for me. It was one about love.

And I have to say that I love those stamps. They are showing Moscow's and Astrachan's Kreml.

Letters: Sweden

Today I received another lovely and touching letter from Sweden! It's just so heart-warming to read those lines as soon as I get them :)

This is one of the stamps that was on there, again it's the royal wedding's sign. The second stamp got missing on the way. Or somenody stole it because it's shiny! :P Anyway... you can still see where it should have been... hmmm :P

Netherlands - 22nd of march 2010

My only march-card this year came from the Netherlands. It has a lot of text on it so you don't think you can really see much on the upload, but it's showing a yellow train or something alike.

The stamp is showing a bicycle with the world as wheels. A nice idea, if you ask me!

Taiwan - 23rd of february 2010

I received another card from Taiwan, this time duckie-themed :D (though I still don't know why I got a birthday card :P )

On the stamp you can see a picture of something, that looks like limes. Is it really? At least it's green :)

Singapore - 4th of february 2010

I also received a postcard from Singapore. It is showing the poster of the New China Sports Artifacts Exhibition, that was shown in august 2008. I'm still fascinated by the writing signs! On the back of the card there is a whole text on it :)

The stamps are showing Frangipani - Plumeria rubra, what ever that might be in English! :)

It's a sunday. No mail for me today and I don't have too many more postcrossing cards to show off, so I thought I should show you some stamps :)

USA / Netherlands / Japan - 3rd of february 2010

That day I received three totally different cards from three different countries. The first one came from the USA, showing Petit Jean-mountain's waterfall. Must be a beautiful place!

And there is also the stamp that is showing quite a bit of nature. I really like it!

The second card came from the Netherlands and I'm a bit unsure what to say about it. I hope it's photoshopped or something :P

And here goes the stamp:

Card number three is from Japan. It shows Konuma-lake, located in Hokkaido. The card's title is 'Chorus', which I think is quite fitting. I love it!

The stamps are reaaaaally cute, too!

Czech Republic - 3rd of january 2010

The first postcrossing card I received this year came from the Czech Republic and it's showing the the Lesser Town towers in Prague. Nice view, isn't it?

The stamp is very beautiful, too, even though I have no idea what it actually means. Anybody who knows?

Letters: Sweden. And brand new stamps!

Incoming

This letter came, as mentioned with the stamps, yesterday already. It's so cute :)

Then I also went to the postoffice to buy new stamps. Gooosh I love them! Underneath the stamps you see the letter that is going to go out today (or latest tomorrow, depending on the time I have).

Don't you just have to love those stamps? :)

And please feel free to check out my new, second blog: Ducks in dungeons!

Swedish Royalties in stamps

Today I received a letter from my wonderful and amazing boyfriend from Sweden with those two stamps on there. One is showing Crownprincess Victoria and the other one is showing the royal logo, so to say. They even have a silvery shine.

What is really getting on my nerves though is, that apparently stamps for a postcard cost as much as for a letter in Sweden! Ush!

If you want to check out my boyfriend's blog, follow the link in the linklist or click here.

Have a royal wednesday! ;)

USA / France / Finland - 28th of december 2009

28th of december, right after Christmas. It almost felt like a bit of a christmas gift when I got THREE cards that day.

The first one came from the USA, showing a cute cat with... a lot of hair. :D

And goodness, how I love those Simpsons-stamps!!!

Card no. 2 came from France, showing one of the fleurs de montagne :) It's the Lis safrané (or Lilium croceum).

On the stamp you see René de Saint-Marceaux.

The card I got from Finland that day was definitely the cutest! I looooove the poem on there. It's so cute!

I wonder what kind of flower it is on this stamp, though. It looks nice!

Czech Republic - 7th of december 2009

Hello everybody!

I'm really sorry that I haven't written anything the past days (and weeks) but now I'm back on track! So expect some mail! :D

This card comes from a postcrosser in the Czech Republic. It's showing Prachatice in winter. Lovely, isn't it?
